Global temperatures surpassed 1.5C target in last two years, says EU monitor

Average global temperatures rose to 1.5C above pre-industrial times in both of the previous two years, an EU monitor said on Friday, reaching unprecedented levels for modern humans, as natural disasters increased in frequency and intensity across the world.
