Gresik Petrokimia ends negative trend by defeating Jakarta Pertamina 3-1

Jakarta - The Gresik Petrokimia women's volleyball team finally broke its negative trend after winning 3-1 (25-20, 19-25, 25-17, 25-20) over Jakarta Pertamina in the 2025 Proliga match at the Jalak Harupat Sports Hall, Bandung, Saturday.

This result became Gresik Petrokimia's first win after suffering four consecutive defeats since January 17. On the other hand, this defeat made Jakarta Pertamina erase their positive trend of winning in the last four matches.

Since the first set, Gresik Petrokimia appeared superior compared to Jakarta Pertamina even though both teams played fiercely by chasing each other's points. Both teams equalized each other's scores which happened eight times in the first set, but Gresik Petrokimi managed to secure the opening set with a score of 25-20.
