Gunfire heard near presidency in Chad's capital N'Djamena

Bursts of gunfire were heard near the presidential compound in N'Djamena on Wednesday evening, with reports stating that armed men have attacked the interior of the compound. Tanks were spotted on the streets of the capital, and roads in the immediate area have also been blocked, an AFP journalist on the scene reported.
