Hamas agrees to the Egyptian-Qatari ceasefire proposal

On Monday evening, Hamas announced its approval of the Qatari-Egyptian ceasefire proposal in the Gaza Strip.

The movement said in a press statement that the head of the movement's political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, made a phone call with the Qatari Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, and with the Egyptian Minister of Intelligence, Abbas Kamel.

The movement indicated that Haniyeh informed the Qatari and Egyptian sides of Hamas’ approval of their proposal regarding the ceasefire agreement.
