Hamas's rising popularity in the West Bank

The Israeli government says its aim in Gaza is to degrade Hamas so completely that it can never again pose a threat to Israel. Yet more than two months into the war in Gaza, the fighting rages on while in the West Bank a recent opinion poll shows Hamas’s popularity has risen from 12 to 44 percent since September.
