Hans Zimmer Composes Special Anthem for Cryptocurrency Pioneer Justin Sun

Renowned for his award-winning compositions in music, Hans Zimmer has crafted an anthem for the divisive tech magnate and TRON creator Justin Sun. Zimmer, whose illustrious career includes creating iconic scores for films such as Gladiator, The Last Samurai, Pirates of the Caribbean series, The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, Man of Steel, Interstellar, Dunkirk, and No Time to Die, has now lent his talents to the TRON Anthem for Justin Sun. Known for his bold and outspoken nature, Sun is a prominent figure in the world of cryptocurrency as the brain behind TRON, although opinions on whether he’s a villain or hero in the tech world are mixed.

Hans Zimmer collaborates with Tron

On April 16, Justin Sun announced his most recent venture, a collaboration with Hans Zimmer, on X (formerly known as Twitter).

In a different post, the Tron DAO praised the anthem, emphasizing that it is not merely a soundtrack but a masterwork designed to deliver the “ultimate music experience.”

The song, lasting nearly three minutes, showcases a variety of classic Zimmer elements such as choir-like hums, building sequences of string performances, and intense drum crescendos, echoing the theme music found in fantasy video games.

Tron mentioned that the creation of the anthem took more than two years, aiming to motivate the community. However, it remains uncertain if Zimmer received compensation for crafting this theme or if he offered his services voluntarily.

Tron in the midst of lawsuits

The organization responsible for the Tron layer-1 blockchain has sought to have a lawsuit brought against it by the SEC dismissed. It argues that the lawsuit improperly targets activities that primarily occur outside of the United States, exceeding the regulatory reach of the SEC since it does not serve as a worldwide regulatory entity. This request for dismissal was submitted to a federal court in New York on March 28, with the Tron Foundation emphasizing that the SEC’s efforts to enforce U.S. securities laws on largely international actions overstep its designated powers.

The legal action from the SEC, initiated in March of the previous year, focuses on Sun, the figure also associated with the BitTorrent Foundation, and Rainberry Inc., the parent company of BitTorrent based in San Francisco, which was acquired by Tron in 2018.
