Gear up guys for term two at Hartley High as the Season 2 of Heartbreak High is set to premiere on Netflix on April 11, 2024.

This International Emmy Award winner amassed huge success for season 1, where they portrayed the tumultuous life of teens and how they figure their way out of those things.

This season we are going to witness a lot of new faces. Angus Sampson from Furiosa and Lincoln Lawyer, Sam Rechner, Kartanya Maynard. Rachel House and Chika Ikogwe are set to return as Woodsy and Jojo. Ayesha Madon, Thomas Weatherall, Will McDonald, and Chloe Hayden are all set to return for their second term.

Hartley High is termed as the “lowest-ranking school in the district”, but students seem to fight dirty this time for the position of school captain along with much more fun to come along with the new faces.

The first season of the series premiered on 14 September 2022. It won the 2023 International Emmy Award for Best Kids.

Along with Emmy, Heartbreak High has also won the 2023 Logie Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor for Thomas Weatherall and was nominated for 15 AACTA Award categories and won six of them for Best TV Series, Best Actor (Bryn Chapman), Best Actress (Chloe Hayden), Best Screenplay, Best Costume Design and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama (Thomas Weatherall).

The show spent 3 weeks at the global Top 10 TV shows on Netflix. Earlier, “Heartbreak High” was a television program that ran from 1994 to 1999 and consisted of seven seasons.

This programme was created by Michael Jenkins and Ben Gannon while the Netflix series which we are talking about was created by Hannah Caroll Chapman. But, Heartbreak High has its origin rooted in a stage play created by Richard Barett in 1987. It was called “The Heartbreak Kid”.

The Television program also received a very positive reception from the public when compared to the popular Beverly Hills, 90210.

Rotten Tomatoes rated the season 1 with an average rating of 7.3 out of 10. On IMDb, the series has an average rating of 7.7.
