Heatwave fatalities rise in US: Hiker dies from heat and dehydration in Utah

A 56-year-old woman died from high temperatures and dehydration at Quail Creek State Park in Utah on Sunday, with temperatures reaching 106°F. Despite rescue efforts, she was found unresponsive and pronounced dead. This year’s heatwave has claimed multiple hiker lives in the Southwest, including recent fatalities in Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Snow Canyon, and Canyonlands National Parks.
