Yesterday, Tuesday, the Israeli police arrested a settler who killed her son (6 years old) with an axe. Initial information indicated that the woman was one of those who fled the "Nova" festival near the "Ra'im" settlement in the "Gaza Envelope" on October 7, and her husband is a reserve soldier in the occupation army.
Videos circulated on social media showed a 33-year-old woman covered in blood, carrying an axe and attacking passersby. When she arrived at the entrance to a shopping mall in Herzliya, she tried to attack the security guard, but he managed to snatch the axe from her after sustaining minor injuries.
Hebrew media reported that the police quickly arrived at the scene to arrest the woman, and then headed to her apartment, where they found the body of the young boy, who was said to be her son.
Initial information indicated that the accused was one of those who fled the "Nova" music festival in the "Re'im" settlement in the "Gaza Envelope" on October 7, and that her husband is a reserve soldier in the occupation army. The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court extended the Israeli settler's detention for another 9 days on Wednesday.
At the hearing, the police representative detailed what happened, saying: “The suspect killed her son and her dog, then arrived at the Seven Stars Center and tried to harm passersby, and finally reached the security guard and tried to kill him with a dangerous object. She was arrested and taken to the hospital.” He added that “the suspect has not been interrogated yet, but evidence shows that she committed the acts intentionally.”
