THIS is the shocking moment an MP collapses on live TV having suffered a massive heart attack as he warned the “wrath of God” was coming for Israel.

Hasan Bitmez, 53, who suffers from diabetes, dropped to the floor as he rounded up his speech to the Turkish General Assembly Hall in Ankara on Tuesday.

He told the assembled parliamentarians: “We can perhaps hide from our conscience but not from history,” adding that “Israel will suffer the wrath of Allah.”

Shortly after, he fell to the ground as fellow MPs rushed to give him first aid.

He was then taken to hospital where the authorities said he was in a critical condition, according to various news outlets.

Bitmez is the Felicity (Saadet) Party (SP) representative for the northwestern province of Kocaeli.

His party, an Islamist Turkish party, has heavily criticise the Israeli government’s response to the Hamas attack on October 7.

Turhan Çömez, another MP and a trained doctor, was the first to rush to his aid, according to the Turkish outlet Gazete Duvar.

It’s reported that Bitmez hit his head while falling.

Although some news reports indicate he suffered a heart attack, the Turkish health minister Dr Fahrettin Koca only said Bitmez had been “disturbed” during his speech and he was monitoring his condition “closely,” in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the country’s president, has also been critical of Israel‘s response to the situation in Gaza.

He told a packed hall in Istanbul on Saturday: “Israel has carried out atrocities and massacres that will shame the whole of humanity.

“All the values relating to humanity are being murdered in Gaza.

“In the face of such brutality, international institutions and human rights organizations are not taking any concrete steps to prevent such violations.”
