A cat cruelly thrown “to her death” from a 130ft viewing platform by a sadistic tourist has been miraculously found alive.
Appalling footage shows the moment the cat was thrown from an observation deck over the walls of Swallow’s Nest, a castle in Russian-occupied Crimea.

A Russian tourist named Dmitry, 24, from St Petersburg has been detained for the act of animal cruelty.
Dmitry confessed to hurling the cat over the edge of the castle walls.
The footage shows him swinging his arm to throw the cat, with the rocks and sea below.
It was assumed the castle cat had been killed, as it seemed impossible she could have survived such a fall.
On the third day of searches, footage emerged showing Musya alive and on her feet on the rocks against all the odds.
Volunteers tried to rescue the frightened cat by boat, but were not able to reach her.
Instead climbers were called in to save the ten-year-old animal, according to a report.
Musya is not seriously injured but has been taken to the vets to be checked.
The rescuers said that the cat will recover with a volunteer before deciding if she will return to live in the castle.
After being detained Dmitri said: “I arrived at Swallow’s Nest [castle] and bought a pie.
“A cat approached me.
“She started walking around my legs, obstructing the path, and she scratched me when I took her in my hands.
“I grabbed her by the scruff of her neck and threw her.”
Asked why he threw the cat, he said: “She started to resist, to break free [from my hands]….
“She probably didn’t like that I picked her up.”

When asked why he threw her, Dmitry said: “Because she started to break free.”
The cruel tourist claimed not to know that he should have known to let the helpless cat go.
He is now reported to be under observation in a Russian medical facility.
Earlier Dmitry had hitchhiked to Crimea from St Petersburg on a solo vacation.
Swallows Nest castle was built in 1911 during the Tsarist era and is a popular tourist attraction.
