After De Moura collapsed to the floor, Terto struck him twice on the head with the butt of his weapon.
The gunman was then chased by onsite police officers, who arrested him at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder.
The incident took place in São José do Belmonte, northeast Brazil, on November 29, 2023, but the images were only made public on Monday (April 1).
After the shooting, De Moura was taken to a local hospital before being transferred to a larger facility in the city of Serra Talhada.
He’s since been discharged and is at liberty, with no retrial date currently set, as reported by Need to Know.
As for Terto, he was sent to prison on remand on November 30, 2023.
De Moura allegedly shot his attacker’s dad, Francisco Alves, on October 5, 2012.
According to his confession, however, De Moura said he was looking for a donkey that had strayed from his property in Lagoa Alexandre.
When he found Alves on his farm, he asked him if he’d seen it, only for Alves to allegedly reply: “Get off my property, you filthy little thief.”
A blazing row then erupted, when Alves allegedly grabbed a wooden stick and walked towards him.
De Moura, who was armed, then fired a gunshot into the air in a bid to scare him off.
However, Alves continued moving towards him and forced him into firing a second shot into the ground.
Alves still continued drawing closer, prompting De Moura to fire a fatal third shot – hitting him in the abdomen.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to a larger facility in Arcoverde, where he died 18 days after the shooting.
De Moura fled to Salgueiro, where he was arrested.
It remains unclear as to how long De Moura was on the run for and why it took so long for him to appear in court.

Influencer Sofia Amorim, 22, was seven months into her pregnancy when she died from multiple organ failure in her hometown Goiania, central Brazil.
