Hours before their 90-minute debate and only two ads, Trump describes Biden

Former US President Donald Trump said that his country's current president, Joe Biden, poses "a threat to democracy, as well as to the future of the United States."

Trump wrote on his page on the social media network Truth: “Joe Biden is a threat to democracy, and a threat to the survival and existence of our country.”

At the end of May, Trump said that “if Biden wins the presidential election, there may be nothing left of the United States.”

Biden and Trump will meet on the debate stage Thursday in the first televised confrontation that could be decisive in the race to return to the White House in November.

Biden and Trump will have a historic presidential debate, not only the first-ever debate between a sitting president and a former one, but also the first debate for either candidate in this year's election.

The debate will bring together the oldest president in American history and a convicted felon, and it is expected to be different from what Americans are used to in traditional presidential debates, as it will be without an audience and neither will be allowed to bring their supporters into the debate filming studios at CNN headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. It will also be without commercial breaks, and the candidate's microphone will be turned off when his opponent speaks, and the candidates will not be allowed to prepare a paper in advance to look at during the debate.
