He added: "Due to stress, a person may grind his teeth during sleep, and this is called bruxism. This may not be noticed by those suffering from this problem, but in the end the teeth may be exposed to damage and decay."
Teeth grinding, or what is known as Bruxism, is the process of clenching the jaws together forcefully, causing the teeth to rub against each other. This process often occurs during sleep, and some people may suffer from this problem while they are awake as well.
It is difficult to determine the basic causes of teeth grinding, but scientific studies indicate that this problem may be caused by anxiety, stress, and emotional-psychological problems, and may result from problems in clenching the jaws, and it may also be caused by drug, alcohol, or smoking abuse.
