Authorities have responded by using alliances with multinational tech giants like Google and Meta to recognize, prevent, and destroy phishing campaigns and false advertising networks more successfully than ever before.

India: High-Tech Fight Against Evolving Online Scams 

To help India recover ₹16 billion last year alone, Google has also included its payment system, Google Pay, in the national scam reporting system. By saving over 575,000 victims from more financial damage, our project underlined the potency of cutting-edge technology in preventing online scams.

Simultaneously, Meta worked with government agencies to start an instructional campaign meant to increase public knowledge of online scams, including those involving crypto. Meta has given millions of people safety tools and vital information by using its huge digital ecosystem.

Moreover, government authorities and tech companies have stepped up their efforts to fight clever schemes fueled by artificial intelligence and deepfake technologies as well as hostile marketing. Through very convincing digital impersonations and complex schemes, these modern scams prey on weak people.

With the speed at which technology is developing, the emphasis now is on building strong defenses capable of outpacing these changing risks.

Apart from combating fraud, India is now leading the world in Web3 innovation. India has supported over 1,000 Web3 businesses, securing $3 billion in investment since 2020, according to a prior CNF report. By 2027 this momentum is expected to propel worldwide blockchain development.

Driven by innovative blockchain technologies and rising worldwide investments, the Web3 gaming market of the country is also expected to expand by $9.2 billion over the next five years.
