Hyperbridge Brings Secure, Scalable Cross-Chain Communication to Users with Mainnet Launch on Polkadot

Hyperbridge has officially launched its main net on Polkadot, with support for Ethereum, Optimism, BNB Chain, and More. With this launch, the highly anticipated blockchain interoperability protocol is opening new possibilities for seamless cross-chain communication.

This comes after the project completed its seed funding round of $25 million, supported by the Web3 Foundation and Scytale Digital. The funding round has empowered Hyperbridge to bring groundbreaking technology to users, delivering secure, scalable, and verifiable cross-chain solutions across multiple blockchains.

Before the main net launch, Hyperbridge went through two testnet cycles, with 600,000+ cross-chain messages processed across supported networks. In addition, 66 independent relayers joined to facilitate message transfer across chains, validating the network’s robustness.

With the extensive testing at the testnet stage, Hyperbridge is sure to have a smooth mainnet experience in cross-chain messaging and liquidity solutions. Users can expect  Gateway, arbitrary message passing, and state queries across multiple ecosystems as Hyperbridge offers a token bridge for asset transfers.

With Gateway, users have high security and finality guarantees, which makes Hyperbridge superior to traditional multisig-based authentication with zk-proofs and on-chain finality validation. It also offers Instant access to multichain liquidity, unlocking new DeFi use cases for DAOs, stablecoins, and real-world assets.

Hyperbridge also addresses security challenges faced by conventional multi-sig bridges, which have led to a loss of over $ billion. By leveraging zk-light clients and storage proofs to authenticate messages, Hyperbridge maintains a security model equivalent to the blockchains it connects.

Seun Lanlege, founder of Polytope Labs, the developers of Hyperbridge, said:

“Bridges are only as strong as their authentication mechanisms. By leveraging finality-based authentication and eliminating multisig committees, Hyperbridge offers unmatched security, allowing developers to build the next generation of decentralized applications with confidence.”

Finally, Hyperbridge enables developers to launch cross-chain applications from day one, supporting use cases such as non-custodial native bridges for unified liquidity pools, cross-chain intents to facilitate seamless token interactions, and multichain expansion for stablecoins, real-world assets, and DAO governance tokens.

Hyperbridge intends to lead in the shift towards interoperability as the blockchain industry continues to grow by offering developers and projects a reliable, secure, and scalable cross-chain infrastructure that opens new frontiers for DeFi, DAOs, and on-chain finance.
