Tyler works on a two weeks off and two weeks on basis, which means he only has to do his job half of the year.
And during his two weeks off, the worker doesn’t shy away from splashing his wealth.
After paying a whopping £4,600 in taxes and pension a month, he is left with almost £7,900 cash on his hands.
From that, over £2,500 is going to a mortgage payment and £890 for boat and vehicle fuel.
Owning a boat and a luxurious Tesla comes with a hefty maintenance costs.
So Tyler puts away £450 for his car and insurance, and £40 for parking tickets.
And £140 are assigned for gym, haircuts and phone bills.
With the remaining money, he splashes on eating out and clothing, and other expenses.
But Tyler admits that after splurging £5,400 in just two weeks, he is still careful about his spending.
The TikToker saves £2,400 a month which he puts in investments or towards a rainy day.
But the big bucks didn’t come to Tyler easily and he worked in a job that not many would consider doing.
“I have been grinding for the past 13 years,” he says.
Tyler is a wireline engineer in an oil and gas industry, and he started at a position that required no experience.
But he slowly built his way up and even acquired an engineering degree on the way.
Although he has a diploma and worked as an oil and gas engineer, he admits that his current job doesn’t require a formal education.
He advises new starters to “learn and absorb as much as you can”.
Many jobs at the oil field pay over £12,500 a month but they’re not entry level, according to the engineer.
“It takes years of experience and you actually have to be good at what you do,” he adds.
Another TikToker believes he is living the dream earning £7,000 a month working minimal hours, but admits the job’s not for everyone.
Similarly, a woman who makes a whopping £11,000 a month doing an unpopular job shared how she saved loads of cash.
