A NEW fleet of butler robots will serve Brits with booze and food at an iconic Benidorm hotel – and they’ll even interact with guests.

An all-important “Beer Robot” is designed to be able to pour out the perfect pint, something it has been specifically designed to do.
This speciality bot calculates the exact temperature and necessary foam amount to give boozy-Brits the perfect the beer.
The exact angle of the arm has been trialled and perfected, with the possibility of allowing the robot to be able to make other drinks by the pool.
One will be based in reception to check in guests.
The receptionist robot, the “Greetinboit” is programmed to speak 30 languages, greatly increasing accessibility at the hotel.
According to reports, the robot based in reception will also be able to give amazed guests information about the hotel and local area.
Another will act as a waiter, able to carry up to an amazing 60kg in weight.
This robot will be “connected” to the waiter, and can be used as a solution to labour shortages.
Others in the group will focus on room service and cleaning tasks.
The room service bot will “respect the privacy of the client”, according to Visit Benidorm.
A “J-40 Cleaning” bot is a cleaning robot capable of sweeping, mopping, wiping and carpet cleaning.
It can function with 12 hours of complete autonomy.
The robots were designed by Alicante-based company Bumerania to interact with guests and staff.
CEO Isidro Fernandez said that this new addition is not designed to take jobs away from existing members of staff.
He said: “They are there to help workers and improve efficiency to optimize resources and improve the customer experience as well as protecting the health of staff members, like preventing back pain.”
A pilot project, called “The Hotel of the Future“, launched on October 23 to present the machines to excited holiday-makers.
According to reports, a robot that can make hot dogs is also being considered.
The hotel has also debuted its interactive table, which can be used to place orders, estimate when a drink will be finished, and provide travel information.
It is unknown how human-like the fleet is set to be, and it is not known to what degree the guests will be able to interact with them.
Valencian Tourist Minister, Nuria Montes, said that the innovation is just the beginning for the hotel sector.
She said that robots “will be, in no time, a reality for all hotels“.
Nuria praised Benidorm and the tourism industry for “flying the flag for innovation in Benidorm- a city that reinvents itself every day”.
