Addiction is something that has ruined many lives, and coming out of it takes a lot of courage. However, 31-year-old model and actress Cara Delevingne has done it, and she wants people to follow some of her advice if they want to come out of it.

Cara’s exposure to the entertainment world at such a young age played a huge role in her life choices, and she had admitted that she started doing drugs and alcohol at quite a young age.

In her recent interview with Variety, Cara has revealed how she got out of her addictions after she decided to quit drinking in 2022 post going through many sessions of rehabs.

She said that one must be honest to themselves if they want to be on this journey, besides that communication is the key factor, both with oneself and people around us. She also believes that nobody is perfect, and we must own our flaws, and nobody is alone in the journey.

Cara also admitted that when she initially wanted to get out of her addictions, she was constantly looking for a quick fix and that’s one of the reasons why she wasn’t fully able to quit drinking. But she went completely sober only after joining a 12-step treatment program.

This has brought immense improvement in her physical and mental health, and she wants people to know about it who are going through this phase. At last, she stressed upon the value of communication by saying that it is actually the opposite of addiction.
