"In good condition" The Red Cross visits the crew of the Galaxy ship held by the Houthis

Yesterday, Sunday, a delegation from the International Red Cross visited the Israeli ship "Galaxy Leader", which has been detained by the Houthis for about 6 months in the Hodeidah Governorate, western Yemen, and was informed of the condition of its crew, explaining that they are "in good condition."

The Houthi-run Saba News Agency reported that a team from the International Red Cross visited the crew of the Israeli ship "Galaxy Leader" in the Red Sea, to learn about their conditions within the humanitarian missions of the Red Cross and to know the conditions and conditions of the detainees.

The crew members informed the international team that they are “in good condition and receiving humane care and treatment, and they communicate with their families via video, and they hope that the war on Gaza will stop in order to release them,” according to the agency that published pictures of them.

On November 19, the Houthis said that they had taken control of the Israeli ship “Galaxy Leader,” while Tel Aviv announced that it was owned by a British company and operated by a Japanese company, and that there were no Israelis on board.

In "solidarity with Gaza", which has been facing a devastating Israeli war with American support since October 7, the Houthis have targeted, with missiles and drones, cargo ships linked to Israel in the Red Sea.

In response to Washington and London, as part of a coalition, since the beginning of this year, launching raids on “Houthi sites” in Yemen, the group announced that it now considers all American and British ships among its military targets.

The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip left more than 113,000 martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.

The Israeli occupation continues the war despite the issuance of a resolution by the UN Security Council to stop the fighting immediately, and despite the International Court of Justice demanding immediate measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
