Incumbent Tebboune elected for second term as Algerian president

Algeria's incumbent President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has been re-elected with more than 94% of the vote, the country's electoral authority said Sunday, five years after pro-democracy protests precipitated the fall of his predecessor Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
