Indian military giant settles in Morocco

Indian giant Tata Advanced Systems has announced its presence in Morocco to produce vehicles that will be delivered to the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces and other African armies.

Tata Advanced Systems has established a limited liability company called Tata Advanced Systems Maroc Construction whose mission is to “manufacture military combat vehicles, study, development, production, integration and assembly of all military equipment vehicles and other related components”.

This company, registered since April 2024 at the Commercial Court of Casablanca, will produce Indian vehicles that will be delivered to the Moroccan army.

TATA Advance Systems had supplied the Moroccan Army with LPTA-715 tactical military transport trucks in 2022 and 90 Tata LPTA 2445 6×6 tactical transport trucks in early 2023.

The establishment of Tata Advance Systems in Morocco follows the signing in 2023 of an agreement between the Kingdom and Indian companies to manufacture Indian vehicles that will be supplied to the Moroccan army.

Negotiations have made progress with Indian companies to produce armoured vehicles locally in Morocco for the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces and other African armies, according to the Minister in charge of Investment, Mohcine Jazouli, during an official visit to India.
