Indonesia-Uzbekistan agree to continue defending the people of Palestine, Afghanistan


   

Jakarta - Indonesia and Uzbekistan agree that the Palestinian people must continue to be helped to restore their country which was devastated by Israeli aggression and the Afghan people must continue to be defended so that their basic rights are fulfilled.

This is part of the Joint Statement of the Second Meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) RI-Uzbekistan on 10-11 February 2025 between Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono and Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and their delegation.

"Both countries are committed to continuing to help ease the difficulties faced by the Palestinian people and continue to send humanitarian aid to Palestine," according to the joint statement obtained from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jakarta, Wednesday.

The two ministers who discussed the Palestinian issue in the meeting also emphasized the importance of realizing a permanent ceasefire between Palestine and Israel nd resolving the conflict through peaceful means.

Regarding the issue of Afghanistan, Foreign Ministers Sugiono and Saidov both expressed concern over the very poor economic and humanitarian situation in the country.
