Influencer, 24, dies in horror crash alongside driver after car smashes into tanker as lorry driver is arrested

AN influencer has died in a car crash alongside her driver after their vehicle smashed into a lorry that had stopped in the emergency lane.

Gizem Ozmen, 24, was killed alongside the driver of her car, named as Mehmet Ensar Ozden.

The tragic crash happened on a stretch of the Istanbul-Bursa-Izmir Highway in Manisa, Turkey[/caption]

The horror crash happened on the Izmir-Istanbul Highway near Manisa, western Turkey.

Police, ambulance and fire crews all rushed to the scene, but could do nothing to save the pair.

Gizem and Mehmet were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the stationary lorry has been arrested.

The 24-year-old was popular on TikTok, where she was known as Lavinia Ozmen.

The bodies of the two victims have been sent to their homes for burial – Mehmet to Istanbul and Gizem to the Urla district of Izmir.
