Iran navy receives new cruise missiles amid growing regional tension

Iran's navy has received new weapons including the Talaeiyeh cruise missile with a range of 1,000 km. The missile is smart, capable of changing targets mid-mission. Shahram Irani, head of Iran's navy, stated that all the equipment, including reconnaissance helicopters and marine cruise missiles, has been designed and produced by Iran's military industry. The US accused Iran of a drone attack on a Liberian-flagged chemical tanker in the Indian Ocean. Iran denied involvement in planning attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea by Yemen's Houthi movement.
