Israel ready to free hundreds of Palestinians: Report

Israel has agreed to release between 700 and 800 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for 40 hostages still held by Hamas, officials familiar with the matter have claimed. If successful, the swap would be part of a potential US-brokered ceasefire deal in the Gaza Strip that has so far killed more than 32,000 Palestinians.
