Israel rejects Hamas proposal to end war, release captives

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a proposal by Hamas to end the war in the Gaza Strip and release captives in exchange for withdrawing Israeli soldiers from Gaza, releasing prisoners and accepting the armed group’s governance of the besieged enclave.
