President Donald Trump insisted Tuesday that Palestinians had "no alternative" other than leaving Gaza, which he dubbed a "big pile of rubble."

In an Oval Office rant, Trump spoke about the aftermath of Israel's war in Gaza — and suggested the occupants would willingly leave.

"I think if they had the opportunity, they'd love it," he explained. "If they had an alternative to Gaza, they have no alternative right now. I mean, they're there because they have no alternative. What do they have? It is a big pile of rubble right now."

"Who can live like that?" the president continued. "And very dangerous. There's shooting all over the place. There's bombing all over the place on both sides."

"Now I would think if they had an option of moving to either in a large group or various smaller groups and take care of the close to two million people, I would think that they would be thrilled to do it."

Trump noted that there was "practically not a building standing, and they're very dangerous."

"It's a demolition site," he opined. "The whole place is demolished. It's unsafe. It's unsanitary. It's not a place where people want to live."

"If we gave them an alternative of living in a beautiful, open place with some nice quarters there, nice housing of sorts, and we have the money in the Middle East to build that," Trump argued.

The president was also asked if he supported Israelis rebuilding Gaza.

"Not necessarily," he replied. "No, I just support cleaning it up and doing something with it. But it's failed for many decades."

"You know, they've had civilizations on Gaza, many civilizations on Gaza, and they're buried in the sand. It doesn't seem to work."
