According to a Friday report from the Nikkei, Japan is planning to welcome a relief team from the United States in the aftermath of the earthquake that claimed 91 lives and led to the evacuation of thousands in the Noto peninsula. The discussion between the US and Japan includes details on the deployment of US troops to the affected region, as per the Nikkei report. Japan's top spokesperson, Yoshimasa Hayashi said that given the current situation on the ground and the logistical challenges involved, Japan is currently not accepting personnel or material aid from other governments.
