Kash Patel's name being finalized for either FBI or Justice Department despite possible backlash

Patel has openly discussed retaliation against Trump's political enemies in government and media, and wrote in his book: "[T]he FBI has become so thoroughly compromised that it will remain a threat to the people unless drastic measures are taken." Axios reported that the final decision on Kash Patel has not been made and Trump could still change his mind and make Patel all the way to FBI director which may send shockwaves similar to the nomination of Matt Gaetz as the attorney general which eventually Gatez had to withdraw.
