The Ice Lions hockey team based in Nairobi has its sights set on playing in the Olympics. The team recently celebrated its first title win in a friendly league, facing off against amateurs from 'colder nations' on home ice — a rink that was set up by a group of Canadians in 2005. The team is only the fifth African team inducted into the International Ice Hockey Federation, is coached by a Canadian and currently has one female player.
