Irish Wish has the potential to be an enjoyable, old-fashioned, corny rom-com, and Lohan’s key role adds to its allure. Irish Wish aspires to restore the ’90s era of great rom-coms by preserving its essence while adding a modern twist. Netflix recently released the movie trailer.
Irish Wish | Official Trailer
Lindsay Lohan prepares for another switcheroo concept with the Netflix romantic comedy Irish Wish.
The trailer is set against a background of rolling green hills near the sea, with a woman fighting the urge to see “the one who got away” marry her closest friend. Maddie Lohan has flown to Europe and is now in Ireland, where she watches her best friend Emma marry Paul, a love affair from years ago.
Maddie, now a bridesmaid at the wedding and with no way to boost her mental health, makes a last-ditch wish for true love. Surprisingly, her dream comes true as she switches lives with her best friend and sets up to marry her man.
As if that wasn’t enough, as the big day gets closer, Maddie realizes her true love might be someone else entirely.
Later, she bumps into James, the photographer for her wedding. The film’s best part, based on what has been shown thus far, is Maddie’s journey of self-discovery as the marriage looms.
The rom-com trailer implies that Irish Wish will feature an engaging plot that keeps viewers interested as Maddie evolves. By the movie’s end, Maddie goes from a nervous, insecure person to a confident, growing woman.
