Lumia has announced the release of its layer 2 network for Real World Assets (RWA). By deploying it, RWAs will have more access, deeper onchain liquidity, and new use cases for tokenized assets. One of the first rollups particularly made for RWAs, Lumia is a modular L2 geared to achieve higher capital efficiency. On Lumia, tokenized assets like stocks, commodities, real estate, art, and financial indexes may all be issued.
One of the first L2s to enable Polygon AggLayer, Lumia utilizes ZK proofs to provide near-instantaneous cross-chain transactions. Additionally, AggLayer offers improved UX with quicker loading times. Lumia Stream ensures increased capital efficiency, enabling traders to maximize the value of each trade executed using Lumia L2.
Deep liquidity is at the heart of Lumia’s engineering, which was done to solve the issue of liquidity fragmentation. This is made possible by Lumia Stream, its liquidity module, which unites the most liquid DEXs and CEXs into a single decentralized source, enabling Lumia L2 and other DeFi protocols to access sizable liquidity pools. With Lumia Stream, liquidity providers may take advantage of new possibilities and experience a degree of capital efficiency never seen on-chain. For instance, Lumia Stream demonstrated its unparalleled capital efficiency on a 1-inch RFQ with a volume of $8 million, which was settled with less than $30K in capital deployed for 28 assets.
The existing $ORN token, which is listed on major international exchanges including Binance, KuCoin, OKX, and others, will be rebranded and swapped to $LUMIA upon the launch of Lumia’s mainnet. For network users, the LUMIA token will handle a variety of tasks, including transaction fees, node operators, and more.
Lumia’s L2 will go live with a number of launch partners and service providers on board, and a grant program for builders will be introduced shortly. As a result, partners and users will be able to explore potential financial markets and economic prospects as they arise on Lumia, starting from the very beginning. The industry is rapidly adapting to the increased interest and a lack of exposure to RWAs, and Lumia is positioned to take advantage of all.
