MADELEINE McCann suspect Christian Brueckner was part of a paedophile video ring that terrified his pals, a court heard today.

Former Praia da Luz resident Nadia P said she was told about the vile rape videos uncovered by Brueckner‘s ex-pals at his house – and warned to stay away from the creep.

She told a court in Germany that Maddie witness Helge B told her about the horror tapes and a “video mafia” he thought was after him.

He said one of the tapes showed convicted rapist Brueckner, wearing a mask as he raped an elderly woman and a girl, as young as 13, tied to a post.

The witness revealed Helge B fled Portugal after finding the video because he was afraid a “video mafia” Brueckner was part of would come after him.

Nadia told Braunschweig Regional Court: “Helge Busching was afraid.

“He said he had to flee the country because he knew as soon as Brueckner came out of prison that he would know that he had broken into his house.

“Helge Busching was afraid because he thought that there was a video mafia and a porno mafia. That was his fear.”

She said he was so afraid of the “porno mafia” ring that he wouldn’t return to Spain at all.

The witness said as soon as she became aware Brueckner had been identified as the Madeleine McCann suspect she contacted the German FBI to tell them everything she knew.

Maddie vanished on May 3, 2007, after her parents left her and her siblings sleeping in their apartment while they dined at a nearby tapas bar in Praia da Luz.

The revelations came after The Sun last week told how Brueckner’s ex had been in a paedo ring with him – providing the monster young girls.

In sensational evidence, a witness said the woman supplied teenage girls to Brueckner – including the 13-year-old featured in one of his sick videos.

He told judges in Brueckner’s trial for rape and sex offences: “I was told Christian Brueckner brought a woman washing machines and instead of paying him for it, she provided him with young girls.”

Brueckner telephoned the woman — who cannot be named under German law — after Madeleine, then aged three, disappeared from her family’s holiday villa in the resort of Praia da Luz in May 2007.

And just days ago it was claimed by another former friend of Brueckner’s that he stole the toddler to sell her to a paedophile network, a witness has claimed.

Brueckner, already serving seven years for a 2019 conviction for rape, faces a string of rape and indecent exposure claims.

He denies them as the trial continues.
