Majorca taxi driver ‘tries to rape Brit tourist while driving her back to holiday home before dumping her in car park’

A MAJORCAN taxi driver has been accused of raping a Brit tourist while driving her back home from a restaurant.

The holidaymaker rang her parents and asked them to alert the police before being abandoned “semi-naked” in a car park by the cabbie.

Cops found the British woman crying in a car park of a resort village.

They rushed her to the hospital for a medical examination after she told them the cab driver attempted to rape her.

Her dress was found ripped when officers reached the scene.

Detectives from the Spanish Civil Guard identified the taxi driver who picked her up from a restaurant where she had been eating with her parents before staying alone for drinks.

Authorities are now investigating the cabbie who is expected to be summoned to a Spanish court.

He was initially interviewed as a witness before being told he was being investigated as a subject after his story of the night “did not add up”.

He has not been arrested yet.
