MapleStory Universe enters its eagerly awaited second Pioneer Test to optimize system stability and gather stakeholders’ feedback before the official launch.
According to the announcement made earlier today by NEXPACA, an innovative blockchain company, the Open Beta Test will start on November 202nd, 2024, and end on November 29th, 2024.
Notably, MapleStory Universe has created special in-game rewards to celebrate the launch of its second Pioneer Test. The 10-day event will see participants receive rewards equivalent to 5 million NXPC, the platform’s native token.
Participants will be able to receive NXPC tokens from gameplay achievements, including daily login completion and trading NFTs. Reportedly, Genesis points earned by participants will be redeemed for NXPC after the official launch. Participants will also become the first to secure the desired In-Game Name (IGN). Participants will be required to collect letters by playing MapleStory N to secure their IGN. Other rewards will be received by completing surveys and quests through the Pioneer Swag.
The event follows the MapleStory Universe’s successful first Pioneer Test, which was held earlier this year in July. Held for 10 days, the 1st Pioneer Test achieved over 1000 testers participating in the event. According to the report by MapleStory Universe, 92% of the testers actively participated throughout the 10-day testing period. These testers logged over 45k hours of gameplay with the MapleStory Universe ecosystem recording 195,046 transactions. Consequently, the event saw an 82% retention rate. MapleStory Universe’s 2nd Pioneer Test is anticipated to attract a larger crowd who will come together to ensure ecosystem stability.
While commenting on the upcoming test, Sunyoung Hwang, Executive Director of NEXPACE:
“The results of our first Pioneer Test exceeded our expectations, and we are excited to scale up for this second Pioneer Test. As we introduce blockchain technology to the 21-year-old MapleStory IP, our goal is to further ensure ecosystem stability and enhance user experience as we prepare for the full launch.”
As the first project to be serviced on NEXPACE, MapleStory Universe was created to provide gamers with a collection of different experiences. These games come together to provide an expansive and engaging virtual world. These applications are built on the backbone of the MapleStory IP, which boasts over 250 million registered users. Currently in its genesis stage, MapleStory Universe hopes to harness blockchain and its technologies to build a robust ecosystem filled with rich in-game experiences to encourage community interaction.
