Martyrs in a bombing on the vicinity of the Shifa complex, and the occupation issues orders to leave southern Gaza

A number of Palestinians were martyred and others were injured, as a result of Israeli warplanes bombing a mosque and a house in the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. The occupation forces have been targeting the complex since dawn today, and assassinated Brigadier General Faiq Al-Mabhouh, coordinator of the introduction of humanitarian aid, according to the Gaza government.

On Monday, a number of Palestinians were martyred, and others were injured, as a result of Israeli warplanes bombing a mosque and a house in the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli occupation army bombed the Al-Sabreen Mosque and the home of the Bakr family near Al-Shifa Hospital, west of Gaza City, resulting in martyrs and wounded.

The witnesses pointed out that the martyrs and wounded are still in the streets "due to the inability of medical teams to transfer them to hospitals due to the occupation army targeting anyone who moves." They explained that the Quadcopters fly widely over the streets and areas surrounding Al-Shifa Hospital, and fire at every moving object.

Witnesses reported that Israeli forces were occupying high places and firing intensely at civilian homes.

At dawn on Monday, the occupation army forces stormed the Al-Shifa Medical Complex and began a military operation there, despite the presence of thousands of sick, wounded and displaced people inside.

The Hebrew Channel 13 (privately) claimed that this operation began after “information was received about the presence of senior officials from the Hamas movement in the Shifa complex.”

It reported that "80 Palestinians were arrested from the hospital, a soldier was slightly injured, and there is no information about the presence of kidnappers (Israeli detainees) in the place."

This is the second time that the occupation forces have stormed the complex, since the beginning of the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023. The first time was last November 16, after besieging it for a week, then they withdrew from it 8 days later after destroying its courtyards and parts. Of its buildings and medical equipment, in addition to the electricity generator.

Assassination of a person responsible for humanitarian operations

For its part, the government media office in Gaza confirmed that the occupation army assassinated Brigadier General Fayeq Al-Mabhouh, who was in charge of coordination with the tribes and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to bring and secure humanitarian aid to northern Gaza, where the population has been suffering from famine due to war and siege for 6 months. Months.

The office explained in a statement that "the occupation army committed a new crime when its soldiers assassinated Brigadier General Fayeq Al-Mabhouh, who was carrying out purely civilian and humanitarian work, and he should have been protected and not attacked under international law."

He considered that "the occupation committing such crimes and massacres, killing civilians, and targeting those in charge of humanitarian work, confirms beyond any doubt that it seeks with all force to spread chaos and chaos in the Gaza Strip, and to prevent facilitating the access of humanitarian aid to hundreds of thousands of hungry people in the Gaza and northern governorates." .

Insistence on starvation

According to the office, “this assassination came two days after the success of efforts to bring 15 aid trucks into northern Gaza, 4 months after the occupation blocked their entry.”

The office believed that this indicates that Israel is determined to "take a starvation approach and deprive the population of access to food supplies, despite their limited availability so far."

He accused Israel of "targeting, over the past days, dozens of them in Rafah Governorate, Nuseirat Camp, Gaza Governorate and other governorates."

He held Israel, the American administration and the international community "fully responsible for these ongoing crimes against our Palestinian people and against civilians, children and women."

The office called on "UN and international organizations and all countries of the free world to intervene immediately and urgently in order to curb the occupation, stop the genocidal war, stop its aggression and targeting of civilians, children and women, and stop targeting those responsible for providing humanitarian aid."

In turn, the Director of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, expressed their concern about the situation in Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip.

In a post on the X platform on Monday, Ghebreyesus called for the protection of hospitals in the Gaza Strip. He continued: "We are deeply concerned about the situation that puts patients, civilians, and health personnel at Al-Shifa Hospital at risk."

He stressed the need for hospitals not to turn into a war zone, adding: "Hospitals must be protected and there must be a ceasefire."

Arrests and orders for residents to leave
