Mbappé scores but France draws with Poland, failing to secure top spot in Euro 2024 group

For the first time in 12 years, France failed to finish top of their group at a major football tournament on Tuesday. Though injured star player Kylian Mbappé scored and the team dominated possession, they were denied victory by Poland’s talented goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski.
