Military headquarters were targeted exchanged border attacks between Israel and Hezbollah

The Israeli occupation army announced the launch of air strikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, including military sites and headquarters, in response to targeting Israeli settlements.

On Monday evening, the Israeli occupation army launched air strikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, in response to targeting Israeli settlements.

The army said in a statement: “Combat aircraft recently attacked a series of Hezbollah organization targets in the areas of Bint Jbeil, Al-Sultaniya (Bint Jbeil District), and Siddiqin (Tyre District).”

The statement explained that these attacks came in response to the launching of missiles towards the Margaliot area, near the Lebanese border, on Monday morning.

He added: "Among the targets attacked were military buildings and a military headquarters used by the organization."

He continued: "Following the sirens that sounded in the north of the country, a short while ago, about 10 missiles were detected crossing from Lebanese territory towards Israeli territory. Some of them were intercepted, but no casualties were reported."

Earlier on Monday evening, sirens sounded in several towns in the Western Galilee, northern Israel, following the launching of a missile salvo from southern Lebanon, which caused a power outage in some areas, according to Hebrew media.

Israeli Army Radio said: “Alarm sirens were sounded in several towns of the Western Galilee.”

Israel Hayom newspaper reported that "about 10 rockets were detected in the recent bombing in the north."

She added: “Residents of the city of Nahariya and nearby kibbutzim reported power outages in the area.”

The newspaper later explained that the power outage was the result of a missile directly hitting a lighting pole.

For its part, the Lebanese Hezbollah announced, in a statement, on Monday evening, that it had targeted the Israeli settlement of Gasher Haziv with batches of Katyusha rockets, “in response to the killing of two paramedics” in an Israeli raid in the evening on the town of Al-Adisa, in southern Lebanon.

Earlier Monday, Hezbollah's Islamic Health Authority announced the killing of 3 of its members in a direct Israeli bombing of an emergency center in the town of Al-Adissa.

Also in another statement, the party announced that it targeted, “after careful monitoring, a movement of Israeli enemy vehicles at the Al-Baghdadi site with appropriate weapons,” and achieved “direct” hits.

Since October 8, 2023, the Israeli-Lebanese border has witnessed an exchange of fire between the Israeli occupation army on the one hand, and Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the other hand, which led to deaths and injuries on both sides of the border.
