War refugees say that more than 3,000 civilians who have fled their homes due to the fighting between the Military Council Army and the Rakhine Army (AA) and air strikes by the Military Council in Thandu Township of Rakhine State are in need of emergency medicine and food.
A war victim, who did not want to be named for security reasons, told RFA that the road was closed and there was a shortage of medicine.
"The main need is medicine. Medicines are in short supply, the roads are closed, and there is nowhere to buy them. There are elderly people, kidney workers, and children with sores. We need medicine. We need medicine, we need food. Food is donated by neighboring villages, some donors donate, and medicine is nowhere to be found."
There are more than 1,800 war-affected refugees in 17 war-affected refugee camps, and 1,600 people who have moved to nearby relative's houses and shelters, making a total of more than 3,000 displaced people.
Among them, those who fled the war from the gold boat circuit, 800 from Go village and most of the residents of Sinkhok village which was bombed by the plane. RFA contacted General Zaw Min Tun on the phone about the lack of medicine due to the military council closing the roads, but he did not receive an answer.
