Yesterday evening, Friday, Moroccan security was able to arrest a 34-year-old French citizen, after Interpol issued an arrest warrant for him in cases of forming criminal networks active in international drug smuggling.
Members of the Research and Intervention Service of the National Brigade of the Moroccan Judicial Police were able to arrest the French citizen, because he is the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the French authorities in cases related to the formation of criminal networks active in international drug smuggling.
The Moroccan General Directorate of National Security stated, in a statement, that “the arrest of the suspect took place in the context of a precise security operation aimed at monitoring and identifying all possible places of the disappearance of the internationally wanted man in several Moroccan cities, before he was arrested in the city of Casablanca.”
She pointed out that "the arrested French citizen was wanted internationally under a red notice issued by the International Criminal Police Organization, at the request of the French judicial authorities, on suspicion of running several criminal networks active in international drug smuggling and laundering criminal proceeds."
She explained that "the arrest of the suspect was the culmination of the fruits of security cooperation and the exchange of information between the interests of the Moroccan General Directorate of National Security and the French National Police, within the framework of international cooperation mechanisms in the security field."
