Multiple people including police officer injured in horror mass stabbing after car crash in Sydney

MULTIPLE people have been injured in a horror mass stabbing following a car crash in Sydney.

Australian authorities have launched a major operation after a police officer and three bystanders were knifed.

Several people were stabbed in the Engadine area of Sydney after a car crash, reports The Australian.

It is alleged a man started knifing victims at the scene after the smashed at around 9am local time.

A 40-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds has been rushed to hospital.

Meanwhile, paramedics are treating another victim for cardiac arrest.

Princes Highway has been closed in both directions between Farnell Avenue and Loftus-Heathcote Road while emergency crews deal with the incident.
