Mystery as dismembered body found dumped in suitcase under Paris bridge before ‘victim’s carer’ hands himself into cops

MYSTERY surrounds the discovery of a dismembered body inside a suitcase dumped under a Parisian bridge.

Firefighters made the grim discovery on Saturday under the Austerlitz bridge after they were called to put out a fire.

A murder investigation was launched.

In a bizarre twist, the victim’s carer, a 34-year-old man turned himself in the following morning.

The Paris public prosecutor’s office said: “He has been remanded into custody for murder.

“Numerous investigations are under way and the person concerned has not yet been interviewed.”
