Nashville cleared the runway for an emergency. Pilot said 'I'm too far away'

A single-engine plane crashed near downtown Nashville, killing all five people aboard. The Canadian pilot reported engine failure and attempted an emergency landing, but couldn't reach the runway. The fiery wreckage was discovered off the highway behind a Costco. The NTSB is investigating the crash.
