The response from conservatives after seven workers in a World Central Kitchen humanitarian aid convoy were killed by strikes launched by the Israel Defense Forces while "traveling in a deconflicted zone" in Gaza is grotesque. In proper right-wing form, they're lashing out at the founder of WCK, Chef José Andrés. Andrés is their new target following the attack on his workers.
Newsmax host Greg Kelly launched a disgusting attack on Andrés, saying that he should get over it, and seemed angry that the famous chef has a passion for cooking.
"And this whole idea of making the food there — maybe they're a little bit too aggressive because there's something called the meal ready to eat," Kelly said. "Now, the military uses this. You don't have to cook it. I know it's not cozy, but it will keep you alive. This is really what they should be handing out and governments can take care of this, maybe some NGOs. But to go in there with their pots and pans. And Andrés, this is another issue, what does he do there? What is his role?"
Note: What does Greg Kelly do at Newsmax?
"I don't have a title. When you don't have a title, sometimes you don't have responsibility," he continued. "Sounds great, but, you know, it's confusing."
