Nigerian media, citing authorities, reported on Monday that members of the terrorist group Boko Haram launched an attack that killed 20 people and injured many others.
Nigeria has recently been facing attacks launched by armed gangs and terrorist organizations such as Boko Haram, which is linked to ISIS, in different parts of the country.
At the end of last month, the country's authorities announced that 12 people were killed and 20 others were injured in an armed attack that took place on a popular market in the Nigerian state of Kaduna.
"Boko Haram" is a Nigerian armed organization founded in January 2002. It calls for "strict application of Islamic law" in all states, even the southern ones with a Christian majority. It announced in March 2015 its affiliation with the terrorist organization ISIS.
