In an interview on CNN, Dana Bash asked Nikki Haley, as the only woman running for president, how she felt about Trump, being the front runner, and being found liable for sexual assault. Haley immediately tried to dodge the question.
NIKKI HALEY: First of all, I haven't paid attention to his cases. And I'm not a lawyer. All I know is he's innocent until proven guilty. And when he's proven guilty, and he's sitting in a courtroom - that's exactly what I'm talking about. You have investigations into Trump and Biden.
Haley went on to offer up her word salad with a big helping of both siderism dressing on the side.
First of all, Bash did no one, not even herself, any favors by failing to point out that Trump has already been tried and had been found liable for sexual assault. In even more plain language, the court said that Trump did rape E.Jean Carroll and did order him to pay.
You don't need to be a lawyer to understand that much. But Haley refused to address the issue, which is in itself extremely unusual. Since when does a politician who supposedly wants to win an election refuse to press an advantage against an opponent? And being the only woman in the race, it would have been a distinct and humungous advantage for her and it was being served on a silver platter to her. But almost inexplicably, she has consistently refused to take it.
