No to humour while driving: US to ban funny messages on highway e-signals

The US Federal Highway Administration has given states two years to ban humorous and quirky messages on overhead e-signs. Messages with obscure meanings, pop culture references, or intended to be funny will be prohibited. This is due to the potential for misunderstanding or distraction to drivers. Among those that will be disappearing are messages such as "Use Yah Blinkah" in Massachusetts; "Visiting in-laws? Slow down, get there late," from Ohio and more.
