Norma Barzman, blacklisted screenwriter, dies at 103

Norma Barzman, a screenwriter who was one of the last surviving victims of the Hollywood blacklist, died at her home in Beverly Hills, California. She and her husband, Ben Barzman, were blacklisted for their affiliation with the Communist Party. Norma Barzman lived in Europe until 1965 and became a local celebrity for defying the blacklist. She continued to write screenplays and was outspoken in her criticism of the blacklist.
