Conservative influencer Ben Shapiro is a strong ally to Donald Trump, yet on Saturday Shapiro had some tough words for the President.
Trump has recently threatened Canada with massive tariffs, including a 250% dairy toll.
“Canada has been ripping us off for years on lumber and on dairy products," Trump said on Friday.

But that apparently didn't sit well with Shapiro, who took to Facebook on Saturday morning to issue his own statement.
"Canada is the number one trade partner of the United States. They are not a financial or economic or physical threat to the United States," Shapiro said. "Treating them as such is not a wise move."
Brian Lilley, political columnist for the Toronto Sun, flagged the development on X:
"Ben Shapiro is an ally of Donald Trump, he was at the joint address in the front row of the gallery clapping. He is also a friend of Canada, may hate Trudeau, but loves this country, he’s visited and had family live here," according to Lilley. "This was shared with his 9 million FB followers today."
